Candy Canes and Kleenex

So I bought myself a special treat at Christmas time. It was one of those impulse purchases. Those that know me well know I love Smarties. I actually can say that I went through seven pounds of the tarty sweet candies one semester in college. So when I was shopping and saw Smarties flavored candy canes I was pretty excited! In the busy days of Christmas shopping,wrapping,baking, etc, I forgot to eat said candy canes. So, the other day after looking at all of the snot stains on my shirt (Ethan had his second ever cold) I decided that I had earned a candy cane. Well I wish I could tell you how wonderful my long delayed treat was, but to my surprise the thing tasted NOTHING like smarties. Anyone want 11 pastel colored candy canes?

While wiping Ethan's face, which by the way he hates, I got a good look at his two top front teeth. They are huge! I'm sure they just look huge because up until recently he has just had his little gums, but I was really surprised how far they had come in. I can't wait to see his little toothy grin. For now he still prefers to hide the top teeth. You can see the bottom teeth in his smile more and more now. I'm pretty sure he is working on number six so these last few days of sickness/teething have been not fun for the poor little guy.
